The Eagles defense which had played as bad as I've seen them play all year, came to life when it was needed and made the plays with the game on the line.
I might have been dreaming but I thought I saw Darren Howard make a great play on the goalline. I guess he was starting to feel guilty for stealing five million dollars a year and not doing anything all year long. Mike Patterson and the rest of the "D" line woke up and made the plays when they had to make them. I'm still trying to find out whether Jevon Kearse got on the train to D.C. because I didn't see him out there.
In another return from the dead case, the Eagles secondary came through to shut down on the last Redskins drive. They had been making Jason Campbell and former Eagles wide receiver James Thrash look like Tom Brady and Randy Moss. The Eagles secondary is so bad that they may have to forfeit the New England game.
The most impressive tackler for the Eagles isn't one of the linebackers it's safety Quintin Mikell. Mikell forced a turnover and he tackles with more impact than any of the other Eagles linebackers and defensive backs.
The Eagles defensive line didn't get any pressure on Jason Campbell until the last play of the game. If they can't get more pressure on the quarterback, they won't be able to stop anybody.
