Much of Chip Kelly remained a mystery when he was hired as our new football coach in 2013. In his rookie season, he did what he was hired to do, out coach the man holding the same position on the other side of the football field.
He achieved this expectation en route to a 10-6 record, and on the way we watched the growth of young players and career seasons of veteran players. There is excitement about their potential moving forward. There is also a feeling of “angst” until the 2014 season gets underway because we receive no answers to the movements and decisions of our football team.
Throughout the ups and downs of the 2013 season, the media and fan base did their very best to understand the “ways” of Chip Kelly. When questions were asked there was little given, often times jokes or questions returned to the media overshadowed the “X’s” and “O’s” of the game.
When the Eagles were on their winning streak, Chip was endearing, charming and we could laugh it up with the quotes and unusual remarks about his football team.
Chip’s silence or short worded remarks did work in many ways throughout the season. He found a way for the team to move past the quarterback battle deep into training camp, and the weekly controversy until Nick was finally named starter for the remainder of the season. There was the Riley Cooper situation which could have crippled the locker room but that was not the case. Even after the Eagles lost to the New Orleans Saints in the playoffs, all was still on the up and up leading into the offseason.
Once the Desean Jackson situation began, everything changed. Whether it was not in his character to handle the whole Desean Jackson situation differently is something that will not be made public. It was in “the best interest” of the football team. Chip is the head coach so I’m going to respect and trust that he can continue to move our football team in the right direction.
The spotlight is on, and it’s on bright 24/7 from now until the end of the 2014 season. The expectations need to be an improvement from last season, a division win and a playoff win or two if not more.
If not speaking to the media unless it is sanctioned by the NFL to do so is the way of one Chip Kelly, then his way to communicate with the fan base and earn our respect and support, win football games.
Win; not games, but playoff games. Not just playoff games; bring a Super Bowl to Philadelphia.
Chip walks with a stride in his step that sets him above the rest. That’s all fine and well if you are successful in the number one sport in this city.
Good article Jeff.
the Philly media harassed Chip Kelly for weeks about who was the #1 QB while Vick was hurt. Every week same question. The Philly media is going to harass Chip about why Desean was fired every week no matter what the answer. I think it is funny he won’t answer them.
I enjoy when we hear the Football IQ side of Chip. He breaks down the game with a football logic that makes you feel he is the guy that is finally going to lead this team to winning a Super Bowl.
There is so many layers to his approach for the game, science, psychology, nutrition, etc. The little bit we know as only one season in the NFL is his professional resume, I can’t wait for the draft and season #2.
I get the feeling, something will happen before we select with the 22nd overall pick of the draft…. Could it be Dion Jordan? Could it be Mike Evans? Could it be both?
It is hard for me to say you are crazy about Dion Jordan or Mike Evans – the eagles sprang the Chip Kelly hire on us from under Gus Bradley’s feet while helicopters were documenting it above Lurie Manor.
The approach to free agency is probably the one area that is still normal for the Eagles. Roseman made due of what he said he was going to do, and then 2 big surprise swings.
1.) We trade for Sproles, and our special teams is no longer a marginal part of this football team, and we start to think of the possibilities with the return of Maclin, Ertz, McCoy, D……
2.) Then we release Desean after a back and forth of “sources” saying he was going to be traded, he was staying and then released.
Moving forward from now until the completion of the draft, I expect the unexpected……..
On point Jeff!! You can be silent…you can cut every All-Pro on the team…you can do whatever you want….but you better win! Improvement every year, Playoff wins this year..at least one Super Bowl within these next three years!
Should we set the line at 4.5 million for the attendance at the parade?
I’ll take the over.
I’ll take the way over. LOL
******** trade alert*******

Gloomy, Trent Murphy is a stiff.
Murphy too slow and lacks explosion & upper body strength
To make an impact early on in his NFL Career
He’s really Dtipped from a #20-25th to a md to late 2nd Rounder
I stay away from him..
I’ll also pass on Murphy. I’m sure Chip may like the kid being from Stanford, but the kid I have my eye on is Jerry Attaochu from Georgia tech.
-I’d personally push for Bucanon at safety or best available WR at pick #56. CB is a need position, but more for the 2015 season where safety, wr and front 7 defense is more a need for this year.
Being the coach of the Eagles justifies Chip being silent. If his bosses won’t make him talk then he doesn’t have to. He doesn’t owe ANYONE an explanation for anything.
True about Murphy but I think the Georgia tech olb will be off the board when they pick so the next best is either him or Marcus smith
Gloomy
Do you mean in the 2nd Round?
2 OLB’s I like that have been a little under the radar.
1) Trevor Reilly (Utah 6-5 254lbs)
2) Carl Bradford (Arizona State 6-1 250lbs)
I really like Reilly who has length, speed and good Coverage Skills which could help Eagles defend the TE better which is a big need from the LB Position
and Bradford is a little short for what 3-4 OLB’s the Eagles are looking for, but this guy is always around the ball and a real thumper..
I don’t know much of Reilly but will check him out and yes that was there draft if they trade back with the 49ers and pick up two 2rd picks a 3rd and a 4th
Absolutely. Winning cures all. As of right now, I’m taking a “wait and see” approach on how cutting Desean impacts this team. Chip did enough last year to earn my trust but it can be quickly be lost.
Brandin Cooks, please!
WTF has Kelly exactly won again, that warrants his arrogant silence???? Yeah, that’s what I thought!
How many National Championships has he won again? How many Super Bowls has he won again? He is the face of this team, & the fans deserve an explanation of WTF exactly is going on! Not leave leave everyone in the dark, listening, reading, & guessing of WTF exactly is happening! Their arrogance is nauseating!
We agree 100 percent on this DCar, I said this before I’ll say it again. I’m not a Kelly fan at all. That arrogance will be his downfall in Philly, his system and his little cute sayings. Big people beat up little people crap that has been in existence since football started but Chip says it and he’s a genius. LOL, I hope I’m wrong but I just get this feeling that he’ll run back to College at the first hint of trouble.
I hope Kelly is everything most analyst say he is. The fact of the matter is that he’s won 10 games as a first year head coach….so did Todd Hailey and Raheem Morris…in there second year with a tougher schedule they got exposed. None of us know for certain who or what coach Kelly is as a coach. This season, with a tougher schedule will give us a better read.
their
My biggest concern about Chip Kelly is that he believes that he can ‘scheme’ his way to victories over good defenses. I think he is a good coach but when any coach starts cutting and getting rid of All-Pro players…it gives me serious doubts!
The bottom line is that Chip has not won the big one…not in college…and he was outcoached last year by Sean Payton in the biggest game of the year last year.
If Chip does not come away with some playoff wins this year…I think its fair to label him a bust as a head coach…and like Eagleshaslanded pointed out…Todd Hailey and Raheem Morris won 10 games with weak schedules too…but when it got tough…we saw what happened…we may see the same thing with Chip!
I am willing to give Kelly thru 2015 ..
I believe last he went in with the approach of bring mostly everyone back to see what he’s got, and now this year has been looking to mold Team and make sone of the tough decisions that he was unsure about making last year..
Now with Vick gone, D-Hax gone and I believe strongly that McCoy is on a short leash, that we will see Kelly realky begin to mold the Team in his likeness which has always been young, fast and by Comittee, not by 1-2 Stars..
We’ll have to see how it works, but don’t be surprised by mid-season to hear an unhappy McCoy who will get less touches than last Year with Sproles in the mix
And I believe we will see more Chris Polk as well..
Kelly’s Philosophy has always been consistent.. the Offense sets the pace and the Tempo and it’s goal is to puts core the opponent, not neccessarily shut your opponent down defensively, but more in out scoring your opponent..
It’s what he’s done his entire Coachibg Career and he rather do it by pounding the round, wearing opponents out and make quick safe plays into big plays with speed and conditioning.. And this is what I expect to see from him moving forward.. A Tiger rarely changes it’s stripes..
This is the NFL which means Not for Long will you be around getting rid of talented players based upon some ‘team’ concept that dont produce Super Bowl wins…Chip great offense didnt get him a National title on the college level has he was beaten by a superior defensive team and superstar player for Auburn…Cam Newton.
The philly.com article is the first article we got with a player putting his name out there and saying that DJax was NOT a problem that he did get along with teammates and that his teammates are NOT ‘happy’ about him not being on the team.
Shady’s comments along with the excellent article by Andrew Brandt is putting this situation into perspective…the Jeff Lurie Eagles may be far more interested in making money rather than winning Super Bowls…
Paulman…the reality is that Kelly’s Philosophy didn’t win him a national championship, he was beaten and outcoached this year in the playoffs…and Kelly’s teams have always had problems with well coached physical defenses.
Kelly is deluded if he believes that his ‘system’ will win championships here…and it wont…Players and defense wins championships. If he is ‘remoulding’ the team into his ‘image’ by getting rid of the best players on the team…we will not win championships…we’ve been waiting on Chris Polk for a couple of years now….maybe he’s not that good….counting on Sproles who the Saints were comfortable in letting go…may not be a good way forward..
Getting rid of DJax was a very bad move…Kelly is a smart football coach but this notion that he is a master innovator that can win in the NFL without superior talent is ridiculous…he didn’t win a national championship on the college level and with all of his masterful innovations, formations, and all of that…we were beaten by a team last year in the Saints with less talent..but that was simply tougher in the trenches than we were…
Kelly was outcoached by a real innovative coach in Sean Payton who has won a championship….
Kelly is the one who should be on a short leash…with dirty moves like cutting DJax and spreading dirt about him….Kelly has got to win some playoff games in 2014….if he doesn’t ….I’m calling for his head by 2015
I don’t disagree with you at all KB..
I just feel that’s how he approach’ stage Game of Football
that Offense Wins.. Which I don’t agree with,
But I believe that how he will go about rebuilding this Team..
RB by Committee, 5-6 Receivers & TE’s getting
35-50 Catch’s each with no #1 Target..
It’s what he’s done in the past and I believe that’s what he will do in the future.. I am not saying it’s right or wrong, just what his approach is..
Paulman one thing we agree on is this, they will not pay Shady 9.75 million next year because that’s not what he believes in. Like I’ve been saying from the start of this he better be right because Philadelphia fans and media are unforgiving and will turn at the drop of a hat.
well thats bad news Paulman! Maybe that is why Lurie bought into Kelly because that philosophy you just outlined is perfect for a owner who wants to pad his own already fat pockets. You can’t beat good teams consistently in the NFL without great players.
Players not systems win in this league.
Kelly for all of his offensive innovation with play calling, and no one can deny he is very good at that…needs to quickly realize that this is the NFL and no matter how good you are at calling plays you need great Players to execute….
I agree KB, we will find out here these couple of Seasons
If Kelly’s Philosophy works or fails..
“Systems don’t win” hmmm. The nfl is a copycat league… Remember the west coast offense was a gimmick until the system won a championship… Buddy’s 4-6 was a system… The patriots had a system and plugged in anybody
And the Packers, Saints, the Comts when they had manning and the Broncos with Manning.. Players cone and gob with those Teams, and they keep winning, even the Steelers have their unique System..
In which Players have come and gonr and they consistently produce Winning Teams most of the time..
The Steelers have continually let got REAL ALL PRO players time and time again especially on defense and have not missed a beat.
Joe Montana and Steve Young, you need the players to implement a system. Please show me one system with inferior talent that won a Super Bowl just one.
Please show me one team with great talent and crap system that has won a SuperBowl on talent alone.
This isnt the NBA.
Jon Gruden walked into Tampa Bay….loaded with talent….how did that work out for Tony Dungy?
Tony Dungy walked into Indy loaded with offense talent…brought the Tampa 2 to the Indy…how did that work out?
How did the Saints fare without Sean Payton? They still had ALL of their offensive players when he was suspended and Drew Brees played like crap.
Baltimore Ravens with their please don’t turn the ball over Trent Dilfer offense and Ray Lewis lead defense. Is that good enough for you
That was a great system. LOL
Here you go trying to spin. You mean the Baltimore Ravens defense that ran the Marvin Lewis 3-4 hybrid defense to perfection and had the most dominant defense since the Reggie White Eagles?
Yup their defensive scheme had nothing to do with it. They wouldve been great with Juan Castillo coaching it.
Oh so now you want to split hairs huh? So both offensive and defensive systems have to be great ? Really we went from West Coast offense to hybrid 3-4 defenses and I can’t have it both ways and I’m spinning. Izell stop it.
Stupidity. Yeah an owner goes out and gives a coach 4+mil for an inferior product.
HAHAHAHAHA the stupidity behind what you say is mind boggling.
Players not systems. HAHAHAHAHA again every time you post nonsense just shows how much you know. Systems dont win but there is a league with 4-6…the tampa 2….the West Coast…
You know absolutely nothing but pessimistic hate. You look stupid after Kelly came in and went completely opposite from most detractors said he was going to do in year 1.
If any of you had clue about real business and management acumen you would know the sign of a great leader is to come in and be able to right the ship with little impact to personnel as possible.
A 50reception 1kyd 5td avg WR had a career year in an offense that no one had ever seen before with the exact same talent that was here for 3 years plus.
Keep talking stupid.
You really are quite the Kelly fan. Like I said I don’t like him you do we’ll see how this turns out. Kelly gets credit for Desean but no blame for the defense or special teams I see and please tell me what running a business have to do with coaching a football team and exactly what businesses did Kelly run before he started coaching football?
Lmao oh how slanted we are. Professional football is a business. You want to try and compare to college or high school lol go ahead but thats nonsense.
Has nothing to do with being a fan. Its being a realist. You are throwing everything but football out there to justify your dislike.
Fact is he did what the majority of detractors said he wouldnt do. IN YEAR 1. You have yet to point out anything other than you hate the DeSean move. And I didnt disagree with you on that.
But all this other nonsense about Reids players all the talent blah blah blah come on now. He turned LeSean McCoy into arguably the best RB in the game. Turned a 50 reception 1kyd avg wr that was in the HEAVIEST pass to run offense in the NFL and he had a breakout year. Yet it was pure luck.
Please stop already.
Using your words not mine? And now Shady and Desean and the talent that was successful NFL players were made great by Kelly? How about giving the athletes who went out and accomplished these numbers some credit? See if Foles or anyone regresses this year it won’t be Kelly’s fault right? But if they continue this path Kelly gets the credit? Is that how this goes
Nonsense.
There is one variable this year. A NEW COACH. Please say otherwise.
Thats the only difference was an entire new philosophy. Again please say otherwise.
Why don’t you give credit where its due.
How can anyone be unhappy with Kelly’s performance so far? He took a very bad 3 win team to the playoffs last year and you guys are talking about his head if he does win the super bowl by 2015. Winning coaches don’t grow on trees. No wonder this city has the rep that it does……….. Unbelievable
DT it’s the epitome of FANatic stupidity at its finest.
The reality is youre a biased agenda fueled idiot.
You feel like a dumbass because before the season you were ranting and raving about how he couldn’t transition to the NFL and you looked like a MORON after he took a team with two different QBs in season and they made the playoffs. Say otherwise and you’re a lying ass.
The DJax situation just gives you a second chance to make up from looking stupid.
How many teams in the PAC 10 won a title? Lol dumbest logic of all time. the SEC dominates college football clown. As long as the talent in football is situated in the Bible belt West Coast teams don’t have a shot. Say otherwise and again look stupid.
Great post Izzell. The trolls are just looking for a reason to complain about this team as they do year in and year out. What’s wrong with having an arrogant coach? Is Bill Bellichik not as arrogant as they come? Is Sean Payton not arrogant? They all are. Kelly owes us nothing in terms of what he says. Kelly did a lot with a little this past year and he’s earned my trust for 2014. Also, Desean has never been an All Pro. He’s not even a top 10 receiver in the league.
What a bunch of pure idiots…intelligent Eagles fans know that last year we played a weak schedule…squeezed in the playoffs on a defensive play that stopped a game winning drive…and lost in the first round at home to an inferior team by being out coached.
News Flash idiots! Kelly hasn’t won anything yet!
Kelly inherited a team with talent that suffered from the worst coaching we have seen in ages.
Kelly came in and did a good job but if you listen to the idiots they will put Kelly in the same league with a Bellichik and Payton!
Fools…Kelly does not deserve to be mentioned in that company at all. Raheem Morris won 10 games with Tampa Bay…and the next year when his schedule got tougher…he fell back to earth.
Dumb asses!! DJax by consensus is a top 10 receiver in this league and he was a major reason why the Eagles won last year. Kelly utilized DJax enormous talent to create mismatches all over the field. When the Eagles had trouble beating man to man coverages…Kelly began to move DJax around in different formations placing pressure on defenses and creating space for receivers and running lanes for Shady.
This upcoming year is the big test for Kelly…last year was ok but with the absence of any playoff wins…Kelly still has to prove he is a big time coach….he hasn’t done it ….yet! He has to win a playoff game to prove that he is an above-average coach for the NFL!!!
Bottom Line….Fools!!
Here you go making garbage up. The Saints were 11-5 in a division with the Panthers. They were the 2nd best passing offense in the league.
Youre an agenda fueled moron. Nothing more nothing less.
Djax a consensus top 10 wr? LMAO Thats pure NONSENSE. No one believes that except you to hide behind your garbage.
Saints Defense was pretty good also down the stretch
The Saibts were a better all around Team than the Eagles
And would beat them 7 out of 10 Times with the Teams they had in 2013.. They had a better record versus better competition last year which was proven in the Playoff game last year
You are out of your mind…you have an agenda of pure stupidity! Djax by consensus is a top 10 wide receiver in the NFL…you didnt even argue that point…until DJax fell out of management’s favor…then all of the sudden…presto…he sucks!
Damm Hypocrities.
Djax is not a top 10 wr. Never has never will be. Hell he may not even be the best WR on the Redskins. Please say otherwise so you can look stupid.
Oh wait thats what every post is. Pure stupidity.
Just for saying the Saints were an inferior team just shows how agenda based you are. Anyone who supports your nonsense is a moron as well.
The Saints were 11-5 in a divison with the Panthers had a top 5 offense and a top 5 defense. Shows how you just do nothing but post hype nonsense. If you thought the Eagles were better than the Saints your just biased.
Your drunk…the Eagles were clearly favored to win that game against the Saints last year! The NFL South….boy what a tough division with Tampa and the Falcons…two teams that went 4-12…
Stop with the bull shit…Everyone thought that our high octane offensive system would give the Saints defense problems…as it turns out…the QB was not sharp in the beginning of the game…didnt take advantage of two turnovers by the Saints…and in the end of the game…our defensive got manhandled by the Saints offensive line has they ran it up our gut.
Youre an idiot. The line was 2.5 and by game time was even money.
That divison had to teams with 11 wins. What moron thinks a division with 2 11 game winners is weaker then the NFC East.
You seriously are a fool.
Anybody that followed the NFL Season knew they Saints became a more Power Running Offensive Yeam as the Season went on based on their Defense playing really well the 2nd half of the Season and their injuries at LT late in the Season and TE J Graham’s injuries down the stretch The Game they Played against the Eaglez will be copied by many early 2014 opponents the Eagles will face this year..
Basically the Saints ran the ball down the throat of the Eagles front 7 as Gane planned by HC Payton, which shortened the game and gave the Eagles less opportunities with the Ball
I don’t know many NFL Fans who felt the Eagles were the better Team going in..
It’s all a moot point now in 2014, but watch Eagles opponents mimick a similar plan of power running verses the Eagles front 7
Which is a weakness that has not been talked about nor addressed this off-season and there is not much help in Draft at Stud DT’s..
Paulman thats why all the secondary upgrade talk was pure nonsense. They badly need a true 3-4 nose. I am hoping that they can either shake one loose by trade or they find a gem. With no reall pass rush and no bull up the middle they are in trouble on defense. No safety not even Ronnie Lott in his prime is going to change that.
All this talk about the eagles moving up in the draft is crazy even if they trade there first and second pick with point system as far as they can move up is 13th and it’s better for them to move down instead of up.
It depends Gloomy. Next years team will have to shed alot of players to get under the cap. I think they may feel that its better to get an impact player this year to maybe to navigate through alot of moves that they will need to make. Also Nick Foles holds them hostage a bit if he plays well they have to pay him if he doesnt they have to figure out how to get a QB in next years draft. They jury is still out on a lot of players on this team and the playoffs kind of masked that.
1. Foles
2. Cox
3. Boykins
4. Kendricks(I think he is the most sure bet out of the young players on the Eagles to be a certified stud)
I’m not sold on Foles yet but I give him the benefit of the doubt going into this year and if he really is a smart accurate passer then he is going to have to show that skill this year with how the offense is most likely going to change a bit.
Cox man….I think he never realizes his potential here and that is HUGE since he was the 6th pick in the draft.
Boykins I hold out hope that he is a Brent Grimes type and he can take over that RCB spot. Suddenly you are a bit deeper and better at CB if he is starting Fletcher is a reserve and you can bring in another rookie. I also think Carrol beats out Cary Williams.
That’s why I think that trade with the 49ers is there best bet to get replacements for those players there gonna get rid of. If they make that trade with them they can multiple picks in rds 2-4 and they still have players to trade like graham, curry, Mathis & brown. That could get them even more picks
Every team wants to trade down in the new style draft. If players start to fall off draft boards the back of the first and the top of the 2nd are gold mines. Its not going to be that easy. There best bet to trade down is if teams in the top 10 couldnt get their first pick at QB and a Carr or Bridgewater start to tumble. Also if the WR run starts early a team may panic at the top of the 2nd to get back in the first. I am fine if they do that and it gets them a first round pick next year to do so.
I think Boykins stays in the Slot where he’s best suited for.
In today’s Pass-happy 3 & 4 WR Sets, a slot CB gets almost as many snaps as
an Outside CB does..
A lot of good Teams do a lot of damage with their Slot Receivers (Patriots,Broncos, Saints, Packers, Chargers,Seahawks, etc)
So having a Good CB for passing situations is very important
I look at the following high-salary Players on the Eagles
Probably gone after 2014 like Trent Cole, Cary Williams,
Todd Herremans,James Casey for sure and then
Players like DeMeco Ryans, Brett Celek having to have good 2014 Seasons to remain Eagles for 2015 and maybe have to take Cuts to stay
I also believe that Eagles will attempt to trade Evan Mathis,Brandon Graham &
Bryce Brown come Draft Weekend and especially if they fail to Trade Down from their #22 Spot which I fully expect them to do..
Cone Draft Weekend
IMO you have to go into the season as Boykin as a no.1 CB and develop scenarios where he mans the slot depending on matchup. Even if he is not an all pro CB he is still better then Williams and Fletcher and they cannot get more snaps a game than he does. He can be taken out of the game when teams go to 2 TE sets and run the ball etc.
The only how i see them keeping him in the slot is if they go CB in the 1st 2 rounds. However Carroll can play some slot as well and I see Williams and Fletcher battling for the no.2 spot. Neither one can play the slot.
I also can see Cary Williams making a switch to S in different packages as well. His length and tackling skill are suited for S.
The Eagles HAVE to load up on defense…its the smart play….everyone wants focus on the secondary…I say they should grab up the best players they can get for the defensive line…they need some game changing players on defense…some people that can get after the Quarterback…they need d-linemen who wont get pushed around at the end of a game by offensive linemen like they were against the Saints…the Eagles have to hope the Jenkins is good enough….(I dont think he is…they should have spent the money and got Byrd!!) and go heavy in the defense line
The Eagles have to load up on talent period. They were lucky that last year outside of the Maclin they were injury free for the majority of the year. Outside of McCoy and possibly Kendricks there are no top 5 position players on this team. Peters is a top 5 OL but i mean game changers.
They need to turn stones and get them an Aldon Smith type or Muhammed Wilkerson find. Kiko Alonzo went in the 2nd last year. Certified stud.
Which us why I like DT’s Ra’Sheede Hageman, Kasey Quarles (South Carolina), or Daquan Jones (Penn State) as Picks in the Early Rounds..
Build the Defense from the Middle Out
Except that Hageman takes too many plays off, Aldon Smith will be available shortly if he keeps yelling bomb in airports. LOL, by the way guys we know they need defensive talent DCar and myself have been screaming about that for over a year now, but here we go again instead of riding it out with Desean we cut him and now go into the draft having to add a wideout or two.
LOL!!! You tell no lies Biggie….I as well have been screaming fix the Defense..
I hope Aldon Smith will become available, but I’m sure the 49ers, will handle that situation better than the Eagles did with DeSean….
It would be cool to have him replace Trent Cole….
Yes you have GM and have been backing it up with prospects as well, but Howie and Chip know better so we’ll see what unfolds during this draft.
But did you hear….I have to learn how to evaluate the team, and prospects better……I have only been screaming this for the last 5-6 years……
My critics, you have to love’em….straight, blind, jackasses in denial…
They haven’t been on the site long enough to know better Cliff, I give paulman all sorts of crap but I know you guys take pride in looking at and evaluating these kids. Some people don’t appreciate that I guess.
Ummmm, Why do you care if Hageman takes plays off Biglion?
You’ve spent the past 3 weeks defending Desean at every opportunity.
He took an entire season off.
Seems like Hageman is your kind of guy.
Yep Desean can’t play a proven pro bowl talent who admitted his contract situation got the best of him. What were his numbers again last year stat man? Pretty damn good for a quitter let me see 82-1300-9td’s with what 60 receptions for first downs, yeah compare him to a kid who couldn’t play hard every down for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. LOL go away Vinnie.
Breezy, they better hope they find a pass rusher – probably 2
If the eagles make that trade with the 49ers there picks should go as followed……

Not to mention they should get more picks from brown, Mathis, graham & maybe curry…
You keep Curry. Don’t get rid of he’s better body than what you will find to replace. Plus he can replace Graham.
If they could get C.Jones and M.Bryant for 3rd and less that would be great pickups IMO.
I don’t like Att. He would just be a younger version of Cole. He’s not a 3-4 lb.
IJ, unlike Trent Cole….Jeremiah Attoachu, has actually played 3-4 OLB in College for the last 3 years, and one as a 4-3 OLB. He is more NFL ready to play the position than Cole was ever capable of……
I agree IJ – I keep Curry as well….He was arguably one of their best Defensive Lineman last year – If He could get Bigger, and Stronger, yet keep his speed, he could replace Cox if necessary….
Koolidiot:
“Players not systems win in this league.”
“we were beaten by a team last year in the Saints with less talent..”
“Kelly was outcoached by a real innovative coach in Sean Payton who has won a championship….” (IE he had a better system)
LOL. So which is it bucko?
Peyton’s system was better….even though he had less talent….but systems don’t matter because you only win with talent…..except for the Saints who won with inferior talent because of their better system….except systems don’t matter talent does…..except in this instance when the system the Saints used overcame their inferior talent…but that won’t work with the Eagles because systems do not win talent alone wints….
LOL!!!
^^^^^^^KNOCKOUT PUNCH^^^^^^^^^
GMCliff the NFL network is running the top 100 players in the league soon. I’m waiting with baited breath to see where Ertz, Sproles, Maclin and Cooper wind up on that list. LOL
Where was Desean on the 2013 list?
I don’t know did he make it? Was he on the list in 2012? Were you cheering when he had that walk off punt return against the Giants or were you upset because he won it? We can do this all night.
Listen samrtass.
You’re the one cracking jokes about Maclin, Ertz etc not being on a top 100 list.
Just pointing out that the overrated mini-man you cherish so much and have been defending almost as vehemently as the other overrated mini-man you wrote 79,000 words defending was no-where to be found on your precious list last year.
You always get so pissy when I point out the hypocracy of your pathetic arguemtnts.
Biglion:
“I don’t want Hageman because he takes plays off, but I love me some Mesean who constantly takes plays off and quits on the field!!”
“LOL where’s Maclin and Ertz on the top 100 list (obv they suck – they’re not on it!!) I’ll leave out the fact that the guy I love isn’t on it either!!!”
Sounds like your the one getting pissy because I can joke with you and still make sense your the one comparing Hageman and Desean not me your the one who can’t take a joke. LOL relax old dude and go hiking or something. Whats wrong Scotland take away your sense of humor?
Ertz won’t be on the list…the only ones that would put him on that list are the locals, but not the national voters…….He hasn’t done anything….
39 for 449 2 tds
36 for 469 4 tds
42 for 547 10 tds
2 for 99 1 td
33 for 368 2 tds
31 for 356 5tds
Tyler Eifert, Zach Ertz, ROb Gronkowski, Shannon SHarpe, Tony Gonzalez, Jimmy Graham.
You’re right GM CLiff. Ertz has done nothing. Just like all thoseother guys.
There you go again, thinking every pick should be an all-pro right out of the gate.
Ertz had a VERY GOOD year for a rooking (playing with a QB in his first 16 games no less!)
Vinnie you just threw the hypocrite tag at me. I have a question for you did Desean have a good year last year?
yes, he was a top ten wide receiver in the NFL. He was a top ten wide receiver with Donovan Mcnabb and Nick Foles. Mike Vick stunted his stats. Mike Vick wasted Desean Jackson’s skill set for 4 years with his bumbling inaccurate turnover non existing talent. Espn is all over the Washington team. Promoting them non stop. That Franchise collapsed last season. The Washington season ticket holder fans left at half time December 8th against with Kansas City crushing Washington 38-10. That was RG3’s last game. He was yanked and benched. The fans quit on RG3 last year. Is RG3 a bumbling over hyped frail Mike Vick clone?
That’s just your opinion Vinnie, and you are entitled to it…
His name came up in the context of would he be among the top 100 players on NFL Network THIS YEAR…..and the obvious answer despite your bias is no……because his year wasn’t good enough….period
and that says nothing about looking for him to be an all pro out the gate, which I will tell you again is not my thinking – I saw a good athlete make some amazing catches last year – That being said, I also don’t see a potential star either –
You guys did the same thing in your career projections with Brandon Grahams season, telling me, your an idiot Cliff, because his production per his snap count would be this if he played more snaps…..
How’d that work out??…..All those stats you laid out mean nothing…
How do you explain Trent Richardson, rushing for 1,300 yards his rookie year – and barely over 600 the next – You can’t …..because one players stats, have no baring on anothers…..
Like I said you guys are just bias toward him because you THINK he will become something special……I get that, but you are taking a lot for granted, because you’re also blinded by your biased…..
All he is, is an option in this Offense….Stop snipping at me because I disagree with you. If you think about it, a lot of the posters on here have been wrong so many times about how these players would do in the NFL……That I don’t understand why you question me…
By the way Ertz, and Eifert, aren’t on the same level as the other TE’s that you mentioned – Just more wishful thinking – Let him prove what you say he will become before you criticize me, because if, and when it turns out like I say it will……You will all of the sudden get selective memory, and claim you never thought that way, or never admit you were wrong…..So just stop Bother Vinnie….
GMCliff or BigLion predict the receptions, touchdowns and/or yards for the 2014 season for the eagles pass catchers. You might think the entire eagle passing offense is going back to the 1950’s with the departure of Desean Jackson reading the gloom here this month. Jeremy Maclin can’t catch 80 passes, Zach Ertz won’t improve on 36 catches, Riley Cooper won’t get open now his numbers will decline. I personally think the #1 passing option for the 2014 season in a Chip Kelly offense is a top 100 player.
First of all, I don’t make statistical predictions…….
This is one time I will agree with you though……the #1 passing option for the Eagles in a Chip Kelly offense is a top 100 player…… So you would agree that would be Mr DeSean Jackson right??????
I know you worded it different because you want to make the claim for Zach Ertz, leading the team in receptions – which he hasn’t done – but you’re willing to assume that based on your bias for him – good season, or average season…….Typical you, so predictable –
I don’t really care about his number of catches – I want to see his overall year performance – and if it translate into him being a real impact player, or just another overhyped local talent that gullible fans fans overvalued…
E0s, I will just say to you as I said to Vinnie, let him prove what he is….
I think he will play a role in the Offense – But will just be another option, nothing special…..That’s just my opinion…
GMCliff, I worded the #1 option like that because if Maclin ( who I think will be the #1 option ) gets hurt again than this year’s Keenan Allen ( 71, 1046, 8tds) could emerge from their draft pick haul.
I already predicted Zach Ertz’s stats. His stats placed him a top 25 NFL tight end last year and he goes up 50%. 35 catches goes up to 50 catches, 469 yards goes up 670 yards, 4 tds goes up to 6 tds which will make him about the 15th best TE in the league in 2014.
But you can’t gauge a players stats like that…It doesn’t work that way, no matter how you measure it, because you have no idea what game plan Kelly will use with he, Sproles, McCoy, the receivers, and Celek…
The ball is going to be spread around so much, it could be one of those scenarios where no one leads in any category statistically in the top 10, but all are viable weapons in the Offense.
Which is exactly how Chip Kelly with run this Eagle Offense
Here’s my Predictions on Passes Caught by Eagles Receivers/TE’s & Backs come 2014 (barring injury)
Maclin – 60 Receptions
Cooper – 50 Receptons
Maehl – 25 Receptions
Draft Pick Jarvis Landry – 25 Receptions
Paulman – 5 Receptions
McCoy – 45 Receptions
Sproles – 35 Receptions
TE’s Ertz & Celek – 40 Receptions each
James Casey – 15 Receptions
I hope to God, Jarvis Landry is not their pick…….another overrated big school prospect
Paulman, if Jarvis Landry is a Eagle he better come after the 3rd round.
I believe Eagles Select WR Landry in the 3rd Round (#86 Pick)
Fyi
Paulman’s 5 Receptions come in the Final Game of the Year Versus the Cowboys on Naional TV as I Toast Safety Ha-Ha Clinton Dix on the “Stutter and Go” Move that I’ve been working on
My Final Stats Line 5 Catches – 82 Yards with a 37 Yard TD Reception as the Eagles Win 38-13 Over the Cowboys
Coach Kelly lets me play the Final Game and Rest’s up Maclin for the Playoffs…
My Playoff Share comes out only to $232.50 but I would do it again..
LOL
And I’ll catch 25 passes before Maehl does. Hahaha.
id take maehl biglion. i think maehl is gonna have closer to 50 catches than 25 but what do i know. all i know is he was very successful under chip at oregon and we dont have a #3 right now…
If we can get 50 grabs from Maehl then I would only target one receiver in the draft. Henski he did get on the field last year and he’s familiar with the offense.
E0S, I watch the games my man I don’t get into that crap let me say this I like Cooper and Maclin I hope they put up outstanding numbers along with Ertz in 2014 the more they produce the better the team.
Eagles Have 2 Players ob their Roster who are Top #100
RB Lesean McCoy and LT Jason Peters
(Now if Foles has a 2014 Season similar to what he did in 2013, then he would crack the Top #100 on Next Year’s list)
Paulman a friendly wager. I bet you Foles makes the list and if he doesn’t the list is bogus.
Foles shouldn’t make the list. Remember he got lucky playing in a weak division. He was the reason why they lost the playoff games and this year he will be terrible and the offense will fall apart.
hahahaha
I don’t care if he was playing against High School kids.
Why would a guy who played in the Pro Bowl not make it on that list?????
The list is Bogus to begin with,
But yes, let’s make a friendly wager on
Whether he’s on this years list..
I say he is not on it, even though he had great
stats, TD to Int Ratio and the 3rd Highest QB Rating of all
QB in 2013 and won MVP in the Pro-Bowl..
I base this on the fact that he did not Play in all 16 Games
,but a QB Aaron Rodgers will make the list even though
He missed 1/2 the Season…
That is a great point paulman. I say he makes the list, because most players and fans are what have you done for me lately types.
Well I will bet both you of that Ray Rice wont be 13th. 1 MILLION DOLLARS……
I think Players around the NFL Vote for the Top #100 and I believe that many of the Players are just not as familiar with him or feel they want to see more from him versus better competition..
The list will tell you something if RG3 is off of it entirely. He is the perfect bell weather for a list like that.
and to Paul’s objection – DeSean Jackson
You know McCoy will be top 5 – Peters, Foles, and DeSean – Maybe Kelce too…..
Paulman- Gm-
Kiper has Kyle Van Noy on the Big Board and all the rumor sites have him flying up the board.
They also have the Jets heavily invested in Anthony Barr.
Paul likes Van Noy – I don’t – I think he is a larger version of Matt McCoy…
I actually prefer OLB Trevor Reilly from Utah over Van Noy
Reilly is 6-5′ – 254lbs, Stronger and can run and specializes in pass-coverage but can also rush the passer and is more stronger than Van NOy at the point of contact, which is one of Van Noy’s weakness’s per Scout Reports
What’s up Paul, Good Brother!!!!
All good on this end Cliff… Beautiful Weather Weekend and mowed the lawn for the first time this Spring, Cleaned out Grille, Got Cars washed..
It’s amazing how much I can get done when the Wife is out of Town..
Ha
As far as Eagles Go, I don’t think they will Draft an OLB early (even though they should)
I think that they feel good about Cole,Barwin,McCoy,Braman and Phillip Hunt all returning and battling.. I saw this isn’t good enough, but I doubt they will listen to me… Just my opinion
I disagree Paul I think they are looking for Pass Rush upgrades whether by trade or through the draft. I think that is why they didnt go all in on the S position because they saw the real hole was upfront with the front 7. Kendricks by the end of the year was the only true pressure guy IMO with the amount of blitz scheme they were using on him.
Cox disappeared down the stretch. I had really high hopes for him after his rookie season.
HAHAA!!!
Ive read up on Reilly but most have him slotted much lower and available in the lower rounds. Have you ever checked out WalterFocus?
He’s a lot like Joe Krueger, with a little more athleticism…but has no it factor to be a contributor to the Eagles…..Special teams Player – 3rd string back up at best…..mediocre prospect….
Hmmm guess who came home from vacation and reported to work at Redskin Park today? None other then the selfish one and it’s voluntary oh my goodness.
Paulman’s 2014 eagles Mock Draft (#11)
Assuming no Trade Up or Trade Downs, but do have 3 Current Eagle Players being Traded for Picks
Guard Evan Mathis to Dolphins for their 3rd Round Pick (#83 Overall)
DE Brandon Graham to the Falcons for their 5th Round (#139 Overall)
RB Bryce Brown to the Tennessee Titans for their 6th Rd (#183 Overall)
With these Deals and Extra Picks the Eagles then Select the Following
Rd 1 (#22) – DT Ra’Sheede Hageman (Minnesota 6-6 – 318lbs)
Rd 2 (#54) – CB Phillip Gaines (Rice 6-0 – 193lbs)
Rd 3 (#83) – Safety Deone Bucannon (Wash State 6-1 – 211lbs)
Rd 3 (#86) – WR Cody Latimer (Indiana 6-3 – 215lbs)
Rd 4 (#122) – WR Jarvis Landry (LSU 6-0 205lbs)
Rd 5 (#139) – ILB Preston Brown (Louisville 6-1 251lbs)
Rd 5 (#162) – DE Taylor Hart (Oregon 6-6 – 281lbs
Rd 6 (#183) – CB Antone Exum (Virginia Tech 6-0 213lbs)
Rd 7 (#237) – Guard Brandon Thomas (Clemson 6-5 317lbs)
That’s it for now …
no pass rush huh????
Gaines isn’t going in the 2nd either – more like mid to late 3rd…..
Eagles will also HAVE to get Buchannon in the 2nd……
I like Latimer, but I would prefer Paul Richardson, over Landry….
Would rather grab a Bigger DT, in the 4th like McCullers…..
B.Thomas would be a steal in the 7th….
I don’t like Hageman a little bit, nor Landry, Brown, or Hart….
Exum, is a good prospect, but I don’t know if injuries have limited his ceiling. If he is healthy, he would also be a steal…..
I like Kandry because he would work the Slot Position
Latimer would be the bigger, faster outside threat
Richardson wouldn’t last 3-4 weeks in the slot
And is a little on the small side at 6-0″ than Kelky likes for the outside and is a poor blocker.. Landry cones from Pro-Style Set at LSU and could step in Rookie year and grab 25-30 Receptions in the Slot where the Eagles have no one on Rostervtobrepkace what Avant has done in the past..
Any outside Receiver like Latimer,Richardson, etc would need a good a Season or 2 before contributing.,
Avant did something in the slot last year? 🙂
GM I don’t think they get a bag of tube socks for Bryce Brown. I am over the fools gold that is Bryce Brown aka Sir Bounce Outside Alot.
That’s okay IJ…….I see it differently bruh….:)
Running backs ate going the way of the Dodo bird. We are going on almost 3 straight years of no dominant backs coming out of college.
Although Bryce has talent his own backstory makes it that no one gives anything more than a 6th if that. If he gets a 4th I will set up a gofundme site for his relocation expenses 🙂
He’s overrated Paul……Playing at LSU, doesn’t mean he’s automatically a Pro….., or talented enough to play in the NFL – and he’s not more talented that either of those guys you’ve mentioned…..He gets his hype just because he played at LSU….TO ME HE’S AN AVERAGE PROSPECT…
He’s a 3rd-4th Round Prospect GMCliff
How is that overrated, you seem to he the only one that’s overrating him.. I envision Landry playing in slot and playing about 20 Snaps a game.. What’s wrong with that for a 3rd/4th Round Pick
Basically I see Landry as a younger, quicker and more athletic Jason Avant.. Who currently on the Eagles Roster is going to play the Slot..
Some have him going into the 1st, or 2nd Round. I don’t see a special talent. Just a guy who went to LSU….
Nahh, I would pass on him, and Moncrief, who I also know you like…
he’s not that quick either…..4.54
What wrong with it is he is not a better prospect than either Richardson, or Latimer – skill, hands, or speed wise – and I don’t want anymore mediocrity at skill positions…
and Landry, isn’t a day one starter either – They all need seasoning – Sammy Watkins included
Exum best position may eventually be at Safety where he has the size & physicality
i would expect Exum & Brandon Thomas to be shelved for 2014 and placed on IR with an eye towards 2015..
I also guarantee you – They can get more for Bryce Brown – as much as a 4th..
Gaines has moved up as a Top #60 Prospectcehile Bucannon has dropped to the #80’s and remember a lot of Teams Paid out big $$$ to Safeties in Free-Agency and not as many Teams are in big of a need to Use a high Draft Pick since many Teams already upgraded their Safety’s Position during Free-Agency
Lots of WR’s & CB’s are getting pushed up the Board while Safeties are dropping after the Top 2-3 (Dix,Pryor & Hall)
Paulman…I bet you Bucannon does not make it out of the second round. You can’t rely on prognostications about who is getting drafted where.
We’ll see EHL..
Buchanon is not as high on the “Prospect Lists”
As many on here have him to be..
I think he’s Still on the Board at #54 for sure,
At #86, probably not and probably in the early-mid
3rd Round (75-85 Range)
Buchanon doesn’t make it to the 3rd round.
I see Anthony Barr has scheduled a visit with the Eagles, I hope he keeps sliding right to 22.
A very good Lossibility that Barr gets lost in a WR & CB Run on the back end of the 1st Round.. He’s an interesting Prospect,
Great Length and Athleticism for sure, his strength
And willingness to play hard down in the trench’s is what has been questioned on him.. Lots of upside and could be a very versatile Pjayer in the Eagles 3-4 Scheme.. .
Do you take him at 22 paulman? I would, I don’t buy the soft label. I watched him enough to know he plays hard.
I like Barr’s Upside and would have to strongly consider taking him @ 22 if he’s on the Board..
Bradon Graham would have to be given away for sure for a Draft Day Teade even if it’s a 6th/7th Rounder if he’s selected
And then grim him as designated Pass-Rusher and rotate and learn from Trent Cole and then take over for Cole Full-time in 2015 x
If Barr is still on the board around 15 you start doing everything you can to grab him. Even as a situational pass rusher he will be the best pass rush option outside of Vinny Curry. Hell Matthews played OLB for this team and if Cole or Barwin got hurt would’ve seen heavy playing time.
No he hasn’t Paul…….most have him going in the 3-4th rounds…
Buchannon is not dropping, because of the demand for Safeties, he will be drafted in the 2nd…
Until the draft starts we don’t know who is being pushed up the board….Everybody Lies this time of the year – Don’t believe everything you hear – You know better bruh….smh
Also GMCliff ,
Tell me what Team is going to give up a Top 125 Prospect (4th Rounder) for a rotational back up RB (Bryce Brown) which are a dime a dozen in the today
pass happy NFL ..
I see 3-4 Landing spots for Bryce Brown
Titans,Jaguars, Texans, Or Chiefs and he would compete as a back-up
With a shot to get more carries with Titans or Jaguars but with a 6th Round in return..
Chris Johnson, John Starks, Ronnie Brown,
and others are still out there as Free-Agents who won’t cost a Draft Pick in return to acquire…
paul the Ravens need a RB too. Rice is either going to jail.
Or suspended.
Ravens have Bernard Pierce,
And will likely Draft local RB Terrance West from Towson St with their own 4th/5th Round Pick and mold him into the Ravens way..
Why trade a Pick for Bryce Brown when he can’t block well
Which is a must for playing for Harbaugh & the Ravens ..
Did the Eagles just sign a Veteran RB 2 weeks ago as well
Ravens GM Newsome loves his Draft Picks and is not one looking to trade any away.,
Who knows…..Terrance West, hasn’t played a down in the NFL, Bryce Brown has – and some fantastic games too – Who’s to say Ozzie doesn’t value that over the potential West would bring coming from playing at Towson……You don’t know that…..
I do know from Ozzie Newsome’s track record, that he would much rather Draft and Groom any Player into the Ravens System then trade away those valueable “Draft Picks”
Ravens have Bernard Pierce and Signed versatil Justin Forsett
Pierce will be their Feature Back and Forsett their 3rd Down Back
and they will Drat RB Terrance West to groom for the Future..
Where is the need for Bryce Brown who you continue to Overrate for some reason.. Take away his big Games versus teh Cowboys/Panthers from 2012, when both Teams were among the worst Rusing defenses in the NFL and what has Bryce Bown done..
Thats fans for everywhere team Paulman…except maybe Jacskonville and Buffalo lol.
Brown is a better talent than Pierce – who took several steps backwards last year – and Justin Forsett, can go chill with Huggie Bear, his career is about done….
Take away his big Games versus teh Cowboys/Panthers from 2012, when both Teams were among the worst Rusing defenses in the NFL and what has Bryce Bown done???…….
ANSWER: Sit behind Shady, and wait for his time – because it hasn’t been necessary for him to do more….
Paulman do we discount Foles stats because he played against inferior defenses?
Why do so many Eagle Fans “Overrate” their own Players..
Bryce Brown for a 3rd or 4th Rd pick in Return…Really..
You guys crack me up..
Yes… By 2016.. All of Foles Stats from 2013 will be merely a memory…
Paulman I don’t like to predict stats but I think a 30TD 9 pick season for Foles is not asking for too much, what do you think?
That would be great Biggy if Foles has those kind of Numbers
I am thinking 33 TD’s with 14 Int’s for about 3950 Yards Passing
Brandon Graham and a 2 for Dion Jordan? I guess it’s just not the fans who overvalue their players.
Any team with a GM, with common sense can see he’s a player. He just hasn’t played much football over the years…If he gets on another team that needs a RB – and gets a chance to start Full Time – The guy will flourish
He has more potential than you give him credit for…….He’s flat out better than how you paint him….I know you don’t like him Paul….we went through this with DeSean, Celek, Cole, Curry, and others who you felt didn’t fit on the team in the past – and they didn’t get traded….Bryce Brown is a player.
RB’s who are 1-Dimensional like Brown is limited in his options
He doesn’t catch the ba the well and is a terrible blocker for a back his size..
I am still waiting for your list of Teams who are going to give up a 4th Round for Bryce Brown..
You may personally feel he is one dimensional, but some GM’s may see his skill set different.
I myself saw what he was capable of doing when Shady went down – There is actual tape of him doing the things you say he doesn’t do.
But, Again, he hasn’t played much football – That also makes him valuable, in that he is a fresh body….
Why are you waiting for a list of teams – who cares – what good is that. This is a player, that you don’t like, stating that he can’t hold on to the football for over a year – He didn’t have 1 fumble last year – so now you have some other gripe…….
Paul, just because you don’t like him, doesn’t mean, he isn’t valued in the eyes of those who matter in the league…You can’t speak for them.
He’s still on the team, so the Eagles already disagree with you – and I guarantee you they CAN get better than a 6th round pick for a young, talented, special RB…..Sorry Buddy I disagree with you
Stop it with one dimensional stuff, I guess he’s a trick pony? Stick with the he doesn’t have the best hands narrative.this kid has a lot of football in him because he’s relatively fresh. I say if they trade him they should try to get a third but settle for no lest than a fourth. How many times does Kelly keep his backs into block?
Bryce Brown has no value. Bryce Brown might be able to move a draft pick up 10 to 15 draft spots in an exchange like Issac Sopoaga. He struggled accepting a hole for 3 yards is better than losing 5 yards running out of bounds trying to get 10 yards attempting to turn the corner. In Chip Kelly’s read and react offense he has horrible decision making skills.
I agree
Agree in Kelly’s offense but how many other teams run Kelly’s offense?
I afree 100 %..
Brown would make a nice “I-Formation Back”, but unfortunately, not many Teams even run that Style of Rushiing anymore..
Most Teams use the “Zone-Blocking Schemes” were patience, discipline and decisivness is the key to success..
Bryce Brown has not shown any of these atributes consistently enough to warrant nothing more that a dime-a-dozen back-up RB.. To GMCliff, He is, what I said he is… Nothing more, nothing less…

Jeff McLane also provided several other Eagles-related tidbits from the combine in Indianapolis, so let’s round them up….
•All-Pro guard Evan Mathis figures to barely crack the top 15 highest-paid guards in the NFL next season, but don’t expect Philadelphia to increase his salary, says McLane, adding that a holdout from Mathis isn’t likely either.
•Head coach Chip Kelly may prefer running back Chris Polk to Bryce Brown as LeSean McCoy‘s primary backup. That makes Brown a trade candidate this offseason, and there’s a[ “healthy market”] for him, according to McLane. However, reaching a deal won’t be easy, due to the increasing salary cap.

“I think his worth is about a 3rd or 4th rounder. I’d only want to trade him if it’s draft day and there’s a specific guy on the board we want and will need to trade Brown in order to get”
The Miami Dolphins, NY Giants, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, have all been rumored to offer as much as a 3rd – 4th round picks for his services.
and like you GMCliff
I don’t beleive everything that I read when it comes to Trade Rumor’s
If Brown is not Traded Draft Weekend, he will end up being Cut by mid/late Camp.. Just see see an the all-around,versatile Running Back in him that suits Kelly’s System … Apparently Kelly feels the same way..
He’s not going to be cut Paul……He has worth in the league, that’s my point….forget the rumors – He has worth – Like it or not
Chip Kelly doesn’t care whether a Player has worth around the NFL GMCliff,
All Coach Kelly cares about is what the Player brings to the table now, and can the Player bring versatility, If not, then he’s gone..
We saw this with D-Jax, didn’t we??
Word is that Chip Kelly is demanding that a “Statue” in his Likeness be built in
Front of NovaCare and 1 in front of the Linc
More Details later.. Go Eagles..
I heard it was just to be in front of the practice bubble check your sources paulman.
That’s what Jon Hart Tweeted… I should have known better.. 🙂
