The Philadelphia Phillies lost their third straight game on Wednesday, falling to the Blue Jays 10-0. Their record drops to 15-17.
- It was a rough outing for Cliff Lee, who got tagged for six runs on seven hits and a walk over 6.1 innings.
- Lee only allowed one run through the first six frames, but then things fell apart in the seventh when the Phils surrendered nine runs to Toronto.
- The Phillies offense managed just three hits, two of them coming from Marlon Byrd.
- Byrd hit his 10th double of the season.
- Mario Hollands allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while failing to record an out after taking over for Lee in the seventh.
- Shawn Camp pitched the final 1.2 innings, and allowed two runs on four hits.
Final Thoughts
Another day, another miserable effort from the anemic Phillies offense.
They’ve now scored three runs or less in five of their last six, and they’ve managed just one run in two of those games have also been shut out twice.
The team has now fallen two games below .500.

Love this team. Absolutely love them! Best of the best. We are WS contenders, for a least the next 5 years. We have an abundance of quality youth, throughout our MLB lineup, & the minors. Our outfield is phenomenal. Our lineup are patient hitters, & great with runners in scoring position. Have power out the @$$. Much speed. Cannon armed center fielder. We have a low salary structure, & are able to add anybody we want. We have an abundance of trade chips. We have a great front office, with the foresight, brains, & creativity to do whatever can be done to build, & rebuild a winner. Our scouts are second to none. Our medical staff are the best, at diagnosing, & keeping our players healthy. Whats not to get pumped up for? The now, & future is so bright, that I can no longer control my enthusiasm! WS BAAAAABY!!!!
AND, lets not forget our stud, consistent starters, & shutdown BP! GOOD STUFF BAAAABY!
