Notes From The Phillies’ 6-3 Loss To Toronto

ColeHamels1The Philadelphia Phillies lost their Saturday Grapefruit League match to the Toronto Blue Jays.

On The Mound

  • Cole Hamels had another spotty outing on the mound, allowing two runs in 3.2 innings. Hamels gave up two solo home runs, and allowed five hits. 
  • Philippe Aumont actually registered a decent appearance, pitching 1.1 scoreless and striking out three.
  • Seth Rosin pitched two innings, and allowed a run on three hits.
  • Justin De Fratus got rocked for three runs on four hits in the eighth.
  • Cesar Jimenez pitched a scoreless ninth.

At The Plate

  • Ben Revere finally showed a little life at the plate today, going 2-4 with a couple of singles. 
  • Freddy Galvis went 1-4, leaving two men on.
  • Chase Utley went 0-2.
  • Ryan Howard went 0-3.
  • Carlos Ruiz went 2-3 and drove in a run.
  • Odubel Herrera went 2-3 and drove in a run.
  • Brian Bogusevic went 1-4 with a single.
