Eagles May Be Following The Sixers

Last night the Philadelphia 76ers played a game at the Wachovia Center in front of a bunch of empty seats.  At the same time, they then fired their General Manager Billy King but nobody cares about either event.  Fools in the media want the Eagles to repeat this act.

When Donovan McNabb heads out of Philadelphia, he will be leaving as one of the top three winningest quarterbacks in the decade.  The only two guys ahead of him are Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.  All the stupid media in town does is dwell on what he can't do and focus on nonsense.  When he leaves and we're stuck with question marks at quarterback, everybody will be thinking about what a healthy McNabb can do.  They'll be thinking about his scrambling ability and strong arm.  Plus the fools will be able to check him on the highlights every week because he'll be back to full strength and playing for another team.

I can't believe some of the dumb reasons why people want to trade him.  Philly fans and the media here are like a bunch of fickle women who can't be happy with anything.  They're like a nagging wife who does nothing but whine and complain about nonsense like what players wear after the games and what they say in the interviews. I apologize to the women for using that analogy because a dumb guy is worse that a dumb women because more women tend to not be so prideful that they will admit a mistake.  Guys will march to their grave over a dumb mistake rather than admit that they have made a mistake.

This type of stupidity makes a big deal out of how A.J. took full responsibility for blowing the last two  games, by starting the game out with an interception and ending it with an interception.  We need players who can play, not run for mayor.  The Sixers just fired a politician in Billy King, who knew how to say all the right things but couldn't judge talent.  Notice that the local media has been easy on him.  This guy was here for ten years, but should he have been.  Good players will say the wrong thing some times especially when they're interveiwed ad nauseum like McNabb is.  There's no way in the world you can do that many interviews and always says what everybody wants to hear.  It becomes even more a problem when its the media's time of the month, which always seems to be the case.

Fickle fans and the menstruating media, place as much importance on how a guy sits on the bench, as how good of player he is.  Stupid stuff like facial expressions are supposed to be a big deal.  They care more about quotes than how he plays.  I can understand this in a romantic relationship but we need a quarterback not somebody to date.  I don't care about all that nonsense.

I'm starting to think that a lot of the guys who cover the Eagles are in the closet because they make such a big deal out of this stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any thing against talking about what players wear and what they say, as entertainment, but we're not keeping and getting rid of guys based on that type of nonsense.  I also don't care about what a player's mother says.  If Wilma McNabb had never done the Chunky soup commercial or started her own weblog we still would have lost to the New Orleans Saints last year.  Only somebody who doesn't know anything about the game would seriously believe this is really that important.

McNabb saying that everybody on the team needed to play better is nothing.  Also if you've noticed down in Dallas that the only person who can control Terrell Owens has started controlling him.  That guy is Terrell Owens.  Somebody in the media should cover how Joe Banner couldn't stomach giving Owens more money, but he has no problem being robbed Jevon "The Thief" Kearse and Darren "The Bandit" Howard, the whole time they've been here.  I've heard there's an A.P.B. out for Kearse, who wasn't spotted doing anything during the Seahawk game.

I'm going to get in a good laugh when the sponsors who shell out big money to the local media and the Eagles, decide that don't to pay out the big bucks for a team that has no chance of making the playoffs.   Kevin Kolb may know how to say what Philly wants him to say at the post game news conference but will it matter if the team is losing.  I'll be smiling and Donovan McNabb will be somewhere smiling, and being thankful that he escapes all this nonsense.
