Adam Gase Getting Second Interview With Eagles

AdamGase1At least one of the Eagles’ head coaching candidates may be emerging as a front-runner.

Bears’ offensive coordinator Adam Gase interviewed with the team earlier in the week, and the team was impressed with what he had to say to the point that they have a second interview scheduled with him for the weekend.

Gase wouldn’t be one of my top choices for the Eagles’ job. I just don’t understand the hype behind him. Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears didn’t exactly set the world on fire this past year, and Peyton Manning was a Hall-Of-Famer before and after he worked with Gase.

That being said, I wouldn’t necessarily be down on Gase if he ended up being the guy. I’d certainly prefer him for the job over the likes of Pat Shurmur, Doug Pederson, or Doug Marrone.

So Denny, have you ever met him? Have you ever had an interview with him on his football acumen? I understand the Eagles met with him for 8 hours and now want a second interview. Let’s see before we bury him.

I guess he gets some credit for being the Broncos offensive coordinator for the two years they lead the league in scoring. If you read his bio on the Bears website, he has had an impressive run of successful position coaching.

All I can say is, he must be pretty sharp every team wants to interview him…

Per Reuben Frank, HC Candidate is not returning for a 2nd Interview as reported earlier. I guess Lurie never did make an Offer as JH posted earlier..

Eagles have added TB Bucs OC Dirk Koetter and Bengals DC Paul Guenther who is a Pa Native, and has done a great job with the Bengals Defense

That’s HC Candidate Adam Gase that has no 2nd Interviewed Scheduled

Bill Cowher is interested in the NY Giants Opening

Jon Gruden is not interested in working with Howie Roseman
and Jeff Lurie is not interested in Jon Gruden

Didn’t you say that Eagles Owner Lurie made an Offer to Gase ?? and that he had 5 Days to Respond ?? And now they are going to Interview him some time later next week… C’Mon Man.. Stick with the Ish Smith Stories…
Gase is out of consideration for the Eagles..

Paul Guenther from the Bengals is now on the Radar,
He’s 44 Years Old, from Northhampton,Pa, been with the Bengals for 10 Years and was LB Position Coach under Mike Zimmer and Now DC for the last 2 Years when Zimmer took the Vikings Job,,
If Lurie wants to keep Pat Shurmur as Asst HC and OC and resign Sam Bradford to Keep some consistency with the Offense, then Hire Guenther to Fix this Damn Defense which won’t Win anything anywhere being Ranked in from 26th-32nd like it has over the last 5 Years… Fix the Defense….

Adam Gase has opted to give other teams a chance to speak with him.

Yes as I reported the Eagles offered him a deal but it was all preliminary nothing in stone. The day they have the 2nd interview doesn’t matter I said they have another one scheduled but if Gase signs elsewhere not a problem either, the Eagles list of candidates is long not short

I also mentioned Jon Gruden days ago and a few days later the media is talking hahaha call it what you want

The Eagles will take there time picking the right guy. I think in the next 10-20 days they could name a guy

They’re supposed to interview Doug Pederson this Sunday, they could hire him after the interview ya never know

They’re looking for sustainability for years to come, someone that develops good relationships with people, and someone that understands the Philly culture not the “Oregon Culture” so to speak

Paul Guenther is a good name and has had good success with the Bengals and he’s definitely someone they’ll interview soon

Again, they have a long list not a short list. They’re doing there sifting and searching

Todd Haley is another guy that will get a look from teams I’m hearing.. many many more to go

The media talking about Gruden doesn’t make him a candidate… The article even said ” maybe he just likes hearing his name”… Eskin text him, he is not a candidate

So your now saying that Owner Lurie is ok with making an Offer to Adam Gase
And now have continue to talk and shop himself around the NFL..
I say that’s BS and that no Offer was ever made as you Posted
I’m not saying that Lurie doesn’t like Gase or impressed with him, I am saying that no Offer was made or the 5-Day think about it and decide and let us know Post you had the other night… Thats BS as Lurie or no other Owner work like that when making a Job Offer .. Hers our Offer, take 48 a Hours and think about and let us know, that’s about it as a Coaching Candidate unless your a HOF Type the maybe anOwner gives a few days, but Adam Gase… C’Mom Man!!

Todd ahaley is ininteresting fella, a little abrasive and very strong minded and not afraid to say what’s on his mind, a very unlikely match for what Kelly is looking for.. Keep checking these Candidates for “Emotional Intelligence” and the guys who lack this won’t even be invited to NovaCare and Todd Haley is one of these type of personalities that won’t mesh with Jeff Luries “Culture” that he wants from its HC .. Haley is very similar to Chip Kelly in this regard..

Anyone that believes Gruden was/is a candidate is an absolute moron. He will never coach again ever. He is this eras John madden. He makes 6.5 million to talk on tv and work less than half the amount coaches do. He never coaches again period.

Jerry Philbin, Mike Nolan & Dave Wannstadt … Good Grief..

Lurie wants this nailed down by next weekend
Senior Bowl/Week is coming up in 2 Weeks and you really like to have some Coach’s there to check out Senoir Players that in Pads and Practices before the Indy Combine..

Cleveland Browns interviewed Adam Gase Wednesday, Sean McDermott Thursday and Tyler Austin Today per NFL Channel

NY Giants have been Mum so far..
I think there is a mutual interest with both Josh McDaniels and Bill Cowher and of course they like Ben McAdoo

Why do you guys think Chip was able to call Lurie while he was already meeting with Gus Bradley and say “Mr.Lurie, I ‘ll take the job”??? How is that possible?!

BECAUSE HE ALREADY WAS OFFERED A CONTRACT IN ADVANCE OB THE 1ST INTERVIEW!!!! THINK! USE YOUR HEADS

Gase was already offered a contract as I mentioned, on the first interview. Hes in the top 3 on there list I hear so if he signs elsewhere it would be a blow but they like other guys too.

And anyway stuff like this happens every single year where on the initial interview the front office reps fall in love with a coach and offer him a contract, just preliminary in meaning, the coach doesn’t always sign on the dotted line like in the case of Gase he wanted to meet with other organizations and see if he’s a fit there. He has that choice!

My god you guys are too busy trying to prove me wrong that your common sense has flown out the window.. Jeez Louise

So..Gase is new coach for dolphins…Philly is about to interview Coughlin.
On another note..Carson Wentz..if thats spelled right..would be a good pickup in the 2nd or 3rd rd. We need to trade back and pick up a 2nd round pick. I think this years draft picks have alot of talented players.
