Final Thoughts
Another day, another blunder from the bullpen.
This time it was Joaquin Benoit, who played the role of the gas can in the seventh inning. The veteran offered no resistance, allowing five runs to score. It was made even worse by Jake Thompson, who isn’t ready to be in the major leagues.
The Phils don’t have a reliable arm coming out of the bullpen at the moment, and its cost them dearly in the last few weeks.
