Final Thoughts
The Phillies haven’t had many bright spots over the last two months, but this two-game sweep of the Mariners is certainly one of them.
The team battled back from a late hole to come up with some clutch hitting in the ninth. Mark Leiter wasn’t great in his second start, but did a good job keeping the team in the game, and Ricardo Pinto’s three scoreless prevented the game from getting out of hand and afforded the bats an opportunity to come up big in the ninth.
It’s the first time the Phillies have won a series on the road since April.

Phils call up Nick Williams who will join the team in NY. May be short term with Kendrick being on the DL but hopefully he will stick around.
Kingery and Hoskins killing it in AAA. At least something to look forward to. Klentak should be able to move Hernandez, but Joseph may be harder.
Dorial green bum gone
good. No place on the team for that dude. They can get his same level of production and skill set from Hollins.
