The Jags beat up the Steelers a couple of weeks ago and I think they'll do the same thing this time around. Pittsburgh used to be a team made for the bad weather but they've gotten away from their past. The Jags have become the old Steelers.
The one-two running combination of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew was too much for Pittsburgh in the first game and they'll wear down the Steelers again. The key is the injury to Pittsburgh's All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu. He is capable of supporting the run defense and making open field tackles on the Jags running backs from his safety postion but he might not play. if he does play he won't be at full strength. The Steelers aren't the same without him.
Jacksonville quarterback David Jarrard does a good job of staying away from turnovers. He does a great job of executing after the play action fakes. He will throw the ball accurately or take off on a scramble when it's there. Mistakes make the difference in all games and even moreso in playoff games.
The Steelers will rely on the throwing of Ben Roethlisburger. He's most successful when they running game is established but they've started throwing the ball more. Willie Parker is out with an injury so Najeh Davenport will have to carry the load. He's a good inside runner but not the receiver or breakaway threat that Parker is.
The Jags defense is big and physical. They'll take away the Steelers running game and make Roethlisberger beat them. I don't think he can do it.
