It's a done deal now, Donte Stallworth is on the market. The New England Patriots let Stallworth know that they weren't going to give him the $6 million dollar bonus next week, so he'll now be a free agent. We'll see whether the Eagles step to the plate and make a move after Stallworth.
Stallworth will officially become a free agent on February 29th. I think it makes sense for the Birds to go after Donte.
On another note, the Dallas Cowboys signed 7-time Pro Bowler Zach Thomas . Thomas was released by the Miami Dolphins and was offered a deal by the New England Patriots. I don't think he will fit in well in the Cowboys 3/4 system. 3/4 systems don't keep blockers off of the middle linebacker. I think Thomas is too small and short to play well in the 3/4 system.
If you notice that smallish middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma didn't play well in the 3/4 system in New York under Mangini.
