The Eagles are being patient and waiting until the Arizona Cardinals get so uncomfortable that they start screaming for somebody to take Larry Fitzgerald and his contract off their hands, so that they can get salary cap relief. I hope they continue struggling to come to an agreement to restructure his deal.

Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt and Offensive Line Coach Russ Grimm have been in love with offensive guard Alan Faneca for the years when they coached him in Pittsburgh.
They're still in love with him, but they had to stand back and let him sign with the New York Jets because of Fitzgerald's crazy contract. Despite Fitzgerald's greatness the coaches can't be getting a lot of sleep as players who might have been able to help them were scooped up off of the free agency market
First of all, I know and respect Whisenhunt and Grimm because I played against them both, but they are working for the idiots who run the Cardinals. Whisenhunt and Grimm know that their team must improve defensively or they'll never win anything. They also need help on their offensive line. Faneca would have put them on another level.
I could see where those guys would be happy with one Pro Bowl receiver like Anquan Boldin, while utilizing Fitzgerald to get more draft picks and to help them on their defense.
What idiot would sign a great player to a contract like the one Fitzgerald has, which throws the franchise into "Salary Cap Hell". Even a stupid person wouldn't have done that but somebody in the Cards front office did just that.
