The Detroit Lions have released local product and former Virginia Tech running back Kevin Jones. He had injured his knee last year and undergone reconstruction surgery on it. Jones was in Arizona rehabbing his leg and getting ready to head to Detroit for the start of off-season conditioning. The Cowboys may take a run at him.
