According to Daily News reporter Paul Domowitch, the NFL is phasing out the NFL films and it's classic pieces on the NFL . Domowitch writes that some of his sources say the NFL Network has no need in the NFL Film's classics like America's Game .
Steve Bornstein who was formerly the top guy at ESPN was the guy put in charge of merging the NFL Network, NFL films and NFL.com into a money-making and marketing bonanza for the NFL. Bornstein says he's trying to give the NFL sports fans what they want.
This battle which was sure to take place when you consider that the fast-paced news at every second Total Access on the NFL Network as compared to the documentary-like NFL pieces like last year's America's Game which documented every Super Bowl winner.
The documentaries are very expensive while the Total Access shows cost much less. We'll see where this goes. It's bound to be a continued problem.
