Patriots Benefitted From The Taping

It's nonsense for anybody to say that the Patriots taping was no benefit to them and therefore no big deal.

Why would Bill Belichick who had been a failure as a head coach in Cleveland, risk being thrown out of the league, to tape the signals of other coaches?  You and I know that the penalty would have been much more substantial if he wasn't a three-time Super Bowl winner.

The game of football is based on tenths of seconds.  Guys are drafted in the first round if the run a 4.4 and in the fourth round if they run a 4.5.

Great quarterbacks recognize things a tenth of a second before good over average quartertbacks.  The same is true with every other player on the field.

If getting the jump on a play is no big deal then why are Andy Reid, Marty Morhinweg, Jim Johnson and other staffs spending 14 to 18 hours a day in the video tape room trying to be able to predict what the other team is going to do and when they're going to do it.

The game of football is all about split seconds and that's what Belichick has been stealing for nearly his entire time as the New England Patriots head coach.

If the people who harp on the cheating that has been going on in baseball don't get all over Belichick, you've got another ugly double standard.
