Fitz, Not Warner Is Playoff MVP

I heard Cris Collinsworth say that Kurt Warner has been the MVP of the playoffs, I disagree.  It has been Larry Fitzgerald.

His exact statement was, "I think if we had a chance to take a re-vote on the league MVP now instead of at the end of the regular season, he may well win the award. Because what he's done in these playoffs has been second to none. He has been spectacular."

Collinsworth made the statement on Showtime's "Inside The NFL."

Warner has been able to just throw the ball up in the air and Fitzgerald has come down with it.  I heard their head coach Ken Whisenhunt say that they tell him to throw it up in the air and Fitz will come down with it.

They have jumped ahead of each team they've played in the playoffs by getting Fitzgerald downfield and throwing the ball up in the air.  Warner is getting credit for throwing the ball up to Fitzgerald even when he has two players covering him.

What is it about that which makes the quarterback special?

Everybody has known that they wanted to get the ball to Fitzgerald but nobody has been able to stop him.

I agree that Warner has been great but the key has been Fitzgerald.  He's the difference maker.

Who was it that just broke Jerry Rice's yardage record in the playoffs?  You got it, Larry Fitzgerald.
