Haynesworth Is The Best In NFL

Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth is the most dominating defensive tackle in the National Football League.

I know Haynesworth could wind up being resigned by the Titans, (they have until February 27 to sign or he becomes a free agent) but if he reaches free agency, the Eagles need to break the bank to sign him because he would take their defense to the next level.

He has to be double-teamed on every play or he'll be breaking into the offensive backfield and creating mayhem. No single offensive lineman in the league can block this guy.

With him the Titans can't be run on.  Without him the Titans are a mediocre defense.

He dominates as a run stopper and as a pass rusher. He would allow the Eagles to blitz a lot less. Quarterbacks wouldn't be able to step up because this guy gets a push on every down.

Haynesworth will command over twelve million dollars a year but he's worth it.

He wants his money, it's as simple as that. There is talk in Nashville about the big guy giving the Titans a home town discount, but Haynesworth scoffed at the idea.

"Not unless they give me a 100 percent guaranteed contract,'' was the way he responded to the notion that he would sign for less with Tennessee than he could get on the open market.

"You want to try and make as much as you can because if you have a career-ending injury you are out … and the team sure as heck is not going to pay you. It's not like baseball or basketball. You want to get as much as possible.''

Break this guy off a huge bonus.

Seriously, the Eagles probably won't even look his way because they already have two number one draft picks, Mike Patteson and Brodrick Bunkley, that are signed to long-term deals. I was just having some fun.
