In his last start Roy Halladay had shown that he was human, but in his effort last night he disproved that. What a way to rebound from his worst start of the season?
Halladay pitched the 20th perfect game in Major League Baseball history on Saturday night in Miami against the Florida Marlins.
According to Philly.com, pitching coach Rich Dubee told them that Halladay made some adjustments after the poor outing against the Red Sox and obviously they were the right ones.
“He hasn’t been as comfortable in his delivery,” Dubee said. “We talked about things. He was locked in tonight. It was one of those exceptional nights.”
“It’s something you never think about,” Halladay, said after the game. “It really is. It’s hard to explain. There’s days where things just kind of click and things happen.”
Halladay managed to upstage the team’s hitting problems which continued as they produced only one run for their ace.
Lee, Halladay, Hamels = Unstoppable… we shoulda hung onto him for a year
