Chad OchoCinco, the Cincinnati Bengals star wide out, went over the top when he compared the passing of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett to 9/11 on his Twitter account.
Of course he was barraged with complaints from his more than 20,000 Twitter followersabout that comment, and he quickly changed his tone by Tweeting.
"okay not as bad as 911, its sad period, both situations my goodness people, they just said he is okay in the hospital,
The 9/11 was a bit over the top, i am just in an emotional state right now, bare with me while i regroup people, be back in 10 minutes
Sorry 85 million times, today sucks man, i still have my jacket with the zippers on it, wow"
Clearly, Chad didn't mean any harm but there is no comparison between the tragic loss of life and devestation of 9/11 and the tragic passing of two of our country's entertainment superstars.
There's no doubt that Michael Jackson was one of the most popular entertainers of our time. It's sad to see both of them go but it's not any where near being on the level of 9/11.
Maybe Chad will think a little about what he says the next time he Tweets.
