According to Philly.com, the Philadelphia police have a video tape of a man who shot Dwight Dixon, the man who last year accused former All-Pro wide receiver Marvin Harrison of shooting him.
At the scene of the shooting Dixon told police he believed Harrison hired someone to kill him.
This is turning into an action movie right in front of our very eyes.
Philly.com writes, "Police "won't know what made him say that until he wakes up," the source said."
Harrison, who was let go of by the Indianapolis Colts is currently unsigned, but I doubt any teams would touch the former All-Pro wide receiver with a ten-foot pole.
The cloud of controversy surrounding him is growing. The man who claimed Harrison shot him a year ago is in critical condition after being shot seven times.
The New York Daily News reported that Dixon told police that he believes that Harrison hired someone to kill him.
"Mr. Dixon told officers on scene that he had a dispute with Marvin Harrison," the source said of yesterday's shooting. "And Marvin Harrison probably hired someone to do this."
Dixon was shot in the arm, chest and stomach while sitting in a rental car yesterday in North Philadelphia after he had just finished breakfast. Witnesses told police that the gunman, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers and blue jeans, was about six-feet tall."
Remember that Dixon has sued Harrison for shooting him a year ago. If Dixon isn't around the case would have much merit.
There was a good deal of evidence pointing at Harrison in last year's shooting but the witnesses in the case didn't show much interest in testifying, so Harrison was never charged.
A cloud was already surrounding Harrison after last year's shooting, now there's another shooting to talk about.
