There’s a battle underway to stop an investment group which includes conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh from buying the St. Louis Rams.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have joined the chorus of people who don’t think he sould be allowed to buy a piece of the Rams.
New NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith has also voiced his belief that Limbaugh shouldn’t be allowed to buy a piece of an NFL team. A number of players have said that they would refuse to play for him.
Former ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith says the players are lying through their teeth in saying that they would turn down the money if Limbaugh owned their team.
As far as I’m concerned this is nonsense. Who cares what the politics is of the owner? Do you agree with the politics of your boss?
There are so many more important battles going on.
I’m tired of so many people bringing up racism and tagging so many people as racists. Too many black kids hear this and start thinking racism is their problem.
If they have a problem in school, it’s racism. If they get busted committing a crime. ItToo many are dropping out, getting pregnant or involved with crime and blaming it on racism.
We’ve got the murder rate in black communities throughout the United States going through the roof but Jackson and Sharpton are going to make a big deal of this because racism is their business.
Youngsters are being slaughtered by the hundreds on a continuous basis but our black leaders don’t really make a big deal of it, until a white cop kills one of them.
Jesse and Al aren’t anything but race peddlers.
The drop out rate amongst African-American kids is above 50% in big cities throughout the country and you’re worried about Rush Limbaugh owning a football team.
I personally could care less if Rush Limbaugh is able to own a piece of an NFL football team. Who cares?
I’ve got a buddy of mine down in D.C. who is all worked up about Limbaugh buying part of the Rams.
I’m convinced that screaming racism all the time is more of a problem in black communities than racism itself.
