By Scott Pashley Here's a look at the weekly NFL news through the eyes of a fantasy football expert.
Westbrook has ankle surgery.
——Our Take—–
First the knee, now the ankle for a player on the wrong side of 30. Not great news here folks. Move McCoy up a bit and Westbrook down a couple slots in your rankings. Some reports have BWest missing significant camp time. Stay tuned to Gary's take and the inside scoop. The longer the recovery, the lower Westbrook's fantasy value goes. Every year several rookie backs finish as top 24 performers. McCoy is worth a mid round pick.
Brandon Marshall will not be suspended for the latest run in with the law.
—-Our Take—–
Good news for Marshall owners, but he is not out of the woods yet. This guy is stacking up offenses like Travis Henry is babies mammas. The Commish has yet to rule on the other domestic violence affair Marshall was involved in. Stay tuned because he could still see a suspension of 4 to 8 games. Keep him in the 10-15 range overall for WRs for now. If there is no suspension, bump him into the top 12, if not the top 10.
Ryan plans on Shonn Greene as a 4th Quarter weapon
—–Our Take—–
The more acrimonious things get between Thomas Jones and the organization the mroe attractive the big former Hawkeye looks. He could be this years Tim Hightower banging in short yardage TDs and he could be even more. He is right there with McCoy as far as potential for this year, but still behind Moreno and Wells.
